THE SQUARE SYMBOL’S ESOTERIC MEANING

The Justice prince flaunts two square symbols: one on his crown and the other on his pendant. The square represents structure, balance, logic, and law and order. It represents the laws of nature that exist in the physical realm and how those laws give us a sense of predictability as well as security. The square is associated with the number 4 and relates to the four elements of the physical world: earth, air, water, and fire. And the four directions: North, South, East, and West. In a spiritual sense, the square is meant to give us a sense of being grounded and balanced here in the physical world. We are physical beings that need structure, community, and direction to survive. The square gives us all these survival needs.

Look at the building you are in right now. The foundation is built on squares. This is symbolic of the foundations of life that are found in the shape of the square. Together, the four elements of the earth blend harmoniously to allow the foundations of life to form, and for us to thrive.
